Momentum
Virgin Mary I tattooed recently. I like to keep my compositions as simple as possible. No tricks, no derivative noise; just a clear tattoo. She’s beautiful to me. I could tattoo her visage every day.
What an amazing time to be alive. Everywhere we look there is wonder. Though we live in a rough and desperate time, we are on the brink of steep evolution. Desperation does not diminish the potential beauty of the coming Age; rather, it is a calling to step up to the plate and help cast off the shell of the past.
AREA has recently stepped up to that plate in a major way. Together with Off the Walls Arts, we’ve founded Memphis Meditation Gathering, a sangha - or community - in pursuit of city-wide peace and awareness. It’s a lofty aim to set out in the muck of an otherwise hostile environment with hopes of sharing anything other than the norm (anger, aggression, ignorance, stupidity, aimless ambition, etc.), but it is a task someone needs to take on. I can say with a degree of certainty that we’ve gotten off to a fairly decent start. People are showing up and agree with our mission. Those people are adopting the mission as their own and agree that the need for a true, functional sangha is an ideal starting point for spreading peace.

Peace. What an absurd term, it seems, in a place and time where nobody can be bothered to see further than their own nose. Man hates his self and his brother. The society is oriented to consume and conquer all on the way to nowhere. I know powerful people who are utterly demoralized by this state. I do not share their cynicism or negativism. Instead, I say, why not give it a try? The worst thing that can happen is only a few people find peace amid the turmoil. If those few people can make a change in their lives, then that’s a positive contribution. Best case scenario, this thing takes off, gets bigger and bigger and ultimately have to move the meditation to the largest place we can find. Weirder things have happened…
If an entire stadium of people can show up for a sports event, which is to me just a ploy that spurs division and docility, and have nothing to show for it at the end of the day, then people can be imbued with the joy of meditation. It’s quite simple: meditation makes you supernatural. I think people more and more are finding this out. If we can find the right words, the right people, the right motivation, then we can inspire an entire generation to dig deep and bring forth their ultimate power. I’ve seen into the future by looking deep into our past, and I have see that the coming Age has no room for the dark minds of our current day. Light, resonance, beauty, creativity and wisdom are the traits of the future mind. We fell low, but now we are rising. We can replace the trending stupidity and shallowness with clarity and truth. Everything about our current ways will ultimately end - darkness and stagnation are utterly unsustainable.

We could use some interactive experiences here in Memphis; more things to do goes hand in hand with creating more peace. Young people are bored, broke and desperate. If we can begin to adopt new habits, share those habits, and live in new ways that make us healthy and intelligent, and people become addicted to THAT instead of the stuff that keeps them low and dumb, then the great turning will be well on its way. The Age is defined by us. What future are we choosing with our day to day habits? What future are we making for our children? What world will our descendants inhabit? What are we setting them up for?
One of my favorite yogis, Milarepa, said, “The affairs of the world will go on and on forever; do not delay in the practice of meditation.” Dammit boy, there isn’t a more profound statement. True. Things will go on. Things have been going on. They will go on when you inevitably die. Everyone who ever lived has died. They’ve been dead for most of the time. Your body, this 3D self, will spend most of the time dead. A life is short, and you have and may live many of them - it is imperative that you do something with your spirit, which is the house for your wisdom and memories. If you go on as an automaton - and do not fool yourself, you are a dumb mammal full of bad habits, we all are - you will continue to be pushed and pulled in whichever direction you are blown, and you will cycle through this samsaric shit balloon for eternity.
Come to the Memphis Meditation Gathering and take some small steps towards a more refined living. Come find your true power. Come find some purpose in this world. You have been so called.
Our sangha is small right now, but it is super powerful. We connect, we vibe, we go deep and we come out bigger and better, more in tune with Source and happy. You belong to this community, no matter what you believe, no matter where you’re from, no matter what you’ve done. The sangha is where we get in touch with our true selves and find the Way, the Truth, the Dharma, the Tao, the Word. This is a place for discipline, yes, but in this mode, discipline becomes a satisfying pursuit. We love you so much.
In other news, the government is talking about UFOs finally and I have a new favorite burger. The kids are back in school and the weather is beginning to change. I’ve been practicing intermittent fasting and have gotten down to my ideal weight. There’s a lot going on in the world, but I’m staying busy with reading books about energy cultivation, Sumerian histories, Ufology, Tibetan Magic, Buddhism and the like (whatever the like is in this strange menagerie). I feel like every time I have to talk to someone, I could just burst with knowledge, and I often do. I have very few cares about trivial things and am tapped into the Divine; I speak my truth and don’t care if people don’t like me. I see injustice and I say something about it, I make it my business. I have made myself strong, and I am trying to get other people around me to open their eyes to the great mystery around them; to flourish and find their true power. I find most other pursuits quite dissatisfying and pointless. The world is getting very strange very fast, and if we don’t find focus and get ourselves right, shit is going to bite us in the ass!
Tommy’s Burger on Park is my new favorite burger. Pretty unmatched. As I’ve gotten extraordinarily healthy, my craving for burger has increased. I don’t have as many ideals about my diet, I eat really clean and don’t fuck with the majority of stuff, but this one perplexes me. I listen to my body and feed the machine. I have discipline against all the other bullshit, but I meet all my goals regardless. Anyway, I hope to be turned into mushrooms or eaten as a burger when I die (when my body dies).
I have a lot more to say, but I don’t really like looking at this screen, so I’ll end with my new favorite hobby - creating ORGONITE. After learning about the life and science of Wilhelm Reich and orgone energy, I dug deep and decided to do the science myself. I purchased a few pieces of orgonite and immediately found them to be powerful devices. Years ago, the SkEpTiCal me would’ve scoffed and dismissed the whole idea as nonsense without ever even testing it. I applaud myself for being open, although the story and the science speaks for itself.
I did a little YouTube surfing and found that it was actually quite a simple, albeit dirty, process to make the stuff. So I slowly gathered the materials and began to create my first pieces. This happened, of course, after I’d been fully convinced of the immaculate energy these things put off. I am a sucker for quality and function, so I elevated my craft a little bit in pursuit of the most functional pieces of orgonite I could make. I sourced some atomized metals and quality quartz and came up with these pieces. The first night I slept near one of these, I started having the most profound lucid dreams. It was difficult not to get caught up in the dreams - and I am not much of a dreamer. I prefer not to dream, if I can get away with it. That said, I did end up having to get it away from the bed. I keep some lesser pieces near me for the EMF-busting effects. That’s what these things do, along with other things; they clean up the electromagnetic fog in your environment and produce a positive orgone (i.e., life force).
I now make these marvelous pieces and would be happy to craft one for you. I don’t mind sounding like a crazy sorcerer, because I am one - so I’ll speak my truth… YOU NEED ORGONITE.
